3 pm - 6 pm daily.
The custom of Afternoon Tea is said to have been introduced by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, at the beginning of the 1800s. To assuage her hunger and ward off boredom between lunch and dinner, the Duchess came up with the idea of having tea served along with a light snack in the privacy of her boudoir.
This new custom rapidly became the height of fashion and Afternoon Tea was soon to become an excuse for meeting up with one’s friends. Today, just as when it opened in 1908, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat carries on the tradition of Afternoon Tea every afternoon from 3 pm; it offers a wide variety of fine teas with sandwiches and other sweet delicacies especially prepared by our Chef Didier Anies and his team.
